WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Casa Ferreirinha Papa Figos Tinto begins with hand-harvested grapes that are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures, utilizing gentle maceration techniques. A portion of the wine, approximately 25% for the 2021 vintage, undergoes maturation for about 12 months in used French oak barrels. The remaining wine is aged in stainless steel or concrete vats to maintain fruit purity. The final blend is then bottled.
