ABOUT THIS WINE
Casa Lupo is an ambitious project launched in 2013 by the Paladin family, paying homage to Italy's most prestigious wine regions. By forging deep, long-term collaborations with traditional hillside growers in the Valpolicella sub-region of Veneto, Paladin combines multi-generational ancestral knowledge with modern agronomic expertise. The vineyards are situated at 450 meters above sea level on calcareous-fossiliferous soils, including red flake (scaglia rossa) and biancone marble, which contribute to the unique character of the grapes.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The wine is crafted using the traditional Appassimento method. Hand-harvested in late September, the grapes are dried in ventilated rooms (fruttaio) until December or January to concentrate sugars, color, and phenolics. Following a slow fermentation in small steel vats with prolonged maceration, the wine is aged for 18 to 24 months in oak tonneaux and casks of 500 to 1,000 liters, followed by further refinement in the bottle before release.
