The wine originates from the Valpolicella region, known for its specific viticultural conditions that are crucial for Amarone production. The unique characteristics of this wine are a result of the traditional appassimento process, where grapes are dried to intensify their flavors and aromas, a hallmark of Amarone della Valpolicella.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Casalforte Amarone della Valpolicella 2019 begins with the meticulous appassimento process, where harvested grapes are dried in controlled warehouses until December to concentrate their flavors and sugars. Fermentation then takes place on the skins for about 20 days, facilitating the extraction of key compounds. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes a minimum of 18 months of aging in oak barrels, complemented by a further 6 months of bottle aging before release. The maximum grape yield per hectare is regulated at 12,000 kilograms, and the wine must achieve a minimum potential alcohol level of 14% after drying, with a final minimum alcohol content of 14.0%.
