ABOUT THIS WINE
Castelnau de Suduiraut is the second wine of Château Suduiraut, a Premier Cru Classé estate in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate has a historical lineage dating back to the 16th century and was classified in 1855. Acquired by AXA Millésimes in 1992, it has undergone significant revitalization. Castelnau de Suduiraut is produced from select early-ripening parcels of the estate, making it more approachable in its youth compared to the grand vin. The wine's distinctive character is shaped by the influence of noble rot, resulting in a harmonious balance of freshness and richness.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Castelnau de Suduiraut begins with the meticulous hand-harvesting of grapes affected by noble rot. Fermentation occurs in French oak barrels over three weeks, utilizing natural yeasts at controlled temperatures of 20-25°C. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees in French oak barrels for 15 months, with a proportion of new oak used. The vineyards are sustainably cultivated and hold High Environmental Value (HEV) certification.
