ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Castelo de Medina, established in 1996 in Villaverde de Medina, crafted this Sauvignon Blanc from high-altitude vineyards situated at 800 meters above sea level on the Castilian plateau. This elevation provides dramatic diurnal temperature shifts, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining their vibrant freshness. The estate's commitment to expressing the unique terroir of D.O. Rueda shines through in this single-varietal bottling, which captures the essence of their 25-year-old vines planted in gravelly, sandy clay loam soils.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are harvested mechanically at night to preserve freshness and prevent oxidation. Following a cold skin maceration for several hours and static settling, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. The wine is rounded out in the bottle for two months before release, ensuring a clean, expressive, and technically precise profile.
