ABOUT THIS WINE
Casteloro Prosecco Rosé is a sparkling rosé wine produced by Fields Wine Company AB, an importer focused on the Swedish market. It originates from the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia regions of Italy, the traditional home of Prosecco. This wine is notable for being among the first rosé Proseccos to be produced and exported under the official Prosecco DOC designation, following a 2020 regulatory update that permitted the inclusion of up to 15% Pinot Noir. The name 'Casteloro' itself means 'Golden Castle'.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Casteloro Prosecco Rosé is produced using the tank method (Charmat/Autoclave), where the secondary fermentation that creates the bubbles occurs in pressurized tanks. This method is standard for Prosecco and helps maintain the wine's freshness. The rosé color is achieved by including up to 15% Pinot Noir, which may undergo a controlled maceration period of up to 60 days to extract the desired hue. The wine is primarily made from the Glera grape.
