ABOUT THIS WINE
Castrum Roche Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is a red still wine from the Langhe DOC in Piedmont, Italy, produced by Azienda Agricola Costamagna Isacco. The grapes are 100% Nebbiolo, sourced from the producer's 2-hectare vineyard in the Torriglione area of La Morra, a site historically known as 'Castrum Roche'. This vineyard is situated opposite the famous Rocche dell'Annunziata cru. The wine is crafted by young winemaker Isacco Costamagna, who established the estate with a philosophy of minimal intervention to express the unique terroir. The 2023 vintage is one of the early releases from this promising new estate, which aims to showcase the potential of its prime vineyard location.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Castrum Roche Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown on the estate's 2-hectare vineyard in La Morra. Viticulture follows sustainable and organic principles, with no herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts to capture the authentic character of the grapes and terroir. The standard bottling is aged in stainless steel for several months to maintain freshness and fruit purity. A separate 'Legno' bottling, aged in oak barrels, is also available. Production volumes are expected to be small, reflecting the vineyard size.
