ABOUT THIS WINE
Chandon Garden Spritz is a non-vintage sparkling wine aperitif produced by Chandon Argentina in Mendoza. It is a blend of Chandon's sparkling wine, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Sémillon grapes, and a distinct bitter-orange liqueur. This aperitif is unique for its use of natural ingredients, including locally sourced Valencia oranges, dried orange peels, herbs, and spices, which are macerated in grape brandy. The creation draws inspiration from Argentine aperitif culture, aiming to provide a sophisticated and naturally flavored alternative to traditional spritzes. Chandon Argentina itself has a history dating back to 1959, representing an international expansion of French winemaking savoir-faire into the Mendoza terroir.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Chandon Garden Spritz begins with the creation of a base sparkling wine from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Sémillon grapes grown in Mendoza, Argentina, at altitudes exceeding 1,000 meters. The base wine undergoes a primary fermentation, with some portions potentially aged in oak. A slow secondary fermentation, lasting four to twelve months, is carried out either in the bottle or using the Charmat method in stainless steel tanks. Concurrently, a bitter-orange liqueur is crafted by macerating locally sourced Valencia oranges, dried orange peels, herbs, and spices in grape brandy. This liqueur is then blended with the finished Chandon sparkling wine just prior to bottling, resulting in the final aperitif.
