ABOUT THIS WINE
Chardonnay Kvalitetno Vino is a white wine from Vina Erdut, produced in the Kontinentalna Hrvatska region of Croatia, specifically the Podunavlje sub-region. The Erdut vineyards, established with a history dating back to 1730, are uniquely positioned on a peninsula along the Danube River. This Chardonnay is made from grapes grown on fertile loess deposits on the eastern slopes of the Dalj mountain. The winery is recognized for its significant scale, being the largest single vineyard owner in Croatia, and for its iconic 75,000-liter wine barrel. The 2024 vintage reflects the winery's long-standing viticultural expertise and the distinctive terroir of the Erdut peninsula.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for this Chardonnay begins with harvesting grapes at technological maturity. The must undergoes a 24-hour settling period at low temperatures before controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats for 7-10 days at 15-18°C. Post-fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel, with a portion also spending time in oak barrels. This combination of stainless steel and oak aging is intended to contribute to the wine's overall harmony of aromas and flavors.
