The Château Corton Grancey itself holds historical significance as the oldest purpose-built winery still in operation in France, acquired by the Latour family in 1891. The wine is only produced in vintages deemed to have grapes of perfect maturity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Louis Latour Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru 2018 is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Following hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo traditional fermentation in open vats. The wine then completes 100% malolactic fermentation. It is subsequently aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, with 35% new oak sourced from Louis Latour's own cooperage. The final wine is a blend of five specific Grand Cru vineyard parcels from the Corton hill. Louis Latour employs sustainable viticulture practices, focusing on soil health and ecosystem preservation.
