ABOUT THIS WINE
Château Jean Faux Sainte-Radegonde Rouge is an AOC Bordeaux Supérieur from the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France. The estate's history traces back to the 17th century, and it was acquired in 2002 by Pascal Collotte and his family, who have since focused on revitalizing the property. The estate is distinguished by its commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices, a less common approach in Bordeaux. The vineyards are situated on clay-limestone hillsides, with vines averaging 25 years in age.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process at Château Jean Faux begins with hand-harvested grapes. Alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel and concrete tanks, with whole berries fermented and manual pumping over employed at least three times daily. Cold pre-fermentation maceration is also utilized. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel, followed by aging for 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new oak. Some sources indicate an additional 10 months of aging in steel tanks.
