WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Gérard Bertrand Chateau l'Hospitalet Grand Vin begins with the hand-harvesting of grapes, which are then transported to the cellar promptly. Each grape variety is vinified separately in temperature-controlled vats, with maceration lasting between 20 and 25 days. Following fermentation, the wines are transferred to new 225-liter oak barrels for an aging period of 12 to 16 months in the estate's barrel cellar. During aging, the fine lees are periodically stirred. The final blend is created by selecting the finest barrels of each grape variety. The vineyard practices are biodynamic, with grapes grown in harmony with nature.
