ABOUT THIS WINE
Château La Branne is located in Bégadan, in the northern part of the Médoc peninsula. Originally established as a modest family farm of just two hectares, the estate was systematically expanded and modernized by the Videau family, who built a dedicated vinification facility in 1999. Their unwavering commitment to quality and environmental stewardship led to the estate's inclusion in the Cru Bourgeois classification in 2008, followed by a well-deserved promotion to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2020. The estate's 30 hectares of vineyards benefit from a diverse terroir of gravelly-sand, clay-gravel, and clay-limestone soils.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process at Château La Branne combines traditional Bordeaux methods with modern temperature control. Grapes are harvested mechanically and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Extraction is kept intentionally gentle to preserve the fresh, primary fruit characteristics of the grapes. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, with approximately 30% of the barrels renewed annually to integrate subtle oak structure without overpowering the fruit.
