ABOUT THIS WINE
Château La Rame 2020 is a Bordeaux Blanc from the Sainte-Croix-du-Mont appellation, a blend primarily of Sauvignon Blanc with a smaller proportion of Sémillon. The estate, owned by the Armand family since 1766, is situated on south-facing clay and limestone hillsides overlooking the Garonne River. The vineyards feature old vines, with an average age of around 50 years for the white varietals. The producer's philosophy centers on creating authentic wines that express their terroir, with a long-standing ambition to establish Sainte-Croix-du-Mont as a region of significant merit, comparable to renowned neighboring appellations.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Château La Rame 2020 begins with manual harvesting of the grapes. Fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled vats to preserve the aromatic qualities of the varietals. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging on its fine lees for about six months before bottling. The estate's vineyards are managed with a focus on environmental stewardship, employing practices such as annual plowing, minimal synthetic treatments, and erosion control. Yields are intentionally kept low, averaging 20-30 hl/ha, which is below the appellation's maximum.
