ABOUT THIS WINE
Château la Rouvière is a significant expression from Domaines Bunan, a family-owned estate with a legacy dating back to 1961. Situated in the AOC Bandol region of Provence, this wine is primarily crafted from the Mourvèdre grape, often blended with Syrah and Grenache. The estate's vineyards are characterized by steep, terraced hillsides facing the sea, planted on clay-limestone soils. Domaines Bunan is committed to organic farming practices. Château la Rouvière represents one of the two main terroirs of the estate, highlighting the unique character of Bandol and the dominance of Mourvèdre in the appellation.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Château la Rouvière involves a maceration period of 21 days, utilizing either stainless steel vats or wooden conical tanks. Fermentation is temperature-controlled. Following maceration, the wine is aged traditionally in large oak casks (foudres), with a portion also spending one to two months in oak barrels. The grapes are harvested late and fully destemmed. Domaines Bunan emphasizes organic farming and environmental respect throughout their viticultural and vinification practices.
