ABOUT THIS WINE
Château la Tour de l'Eveque Sainte-Anne Rosé is an AOP Côtes de Provence wine from the 2023 vintage. The estate, a family-owned property since 1958, has a history dating back to the 13th century and was formerly the summer residence of the bishops of Toulon. Winemaker Régine Sumeire is recognized for her contributions to the pale rosé style. The vineyard is situated in the Maurettes hills near Hyères, characterized by shaley and red sandstone soils. The wine is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Rolle, Sémillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Ugni-Blanc, reflecting the estate's commitment to a diverse grape palette. The name Sainte-Anne is linked to a historical pilgrimage site on the property.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Château la Tour de l'Eveque Sainte-Anne Rosé begins with manual harvesting and sorting of grapes in small crates. The fruit is then directly loaded into a hydraulic press without crushing, followed by light pressing to extract delicacy and fragrance. Fermentation and aging occur in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine's freshness. The wine is bottled at the Château. The estate is committed to organic and biodynamic farming practices, including traditional soil cultivation, green manure sowing, and yield management through bud trimming and green harvesting. Some vineyard parcels are plowed with horses.
