WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Château Latour 2010 begins with grapes sourced from the estate's oldest vines, averaging 60 years old, within the Enclos. The harvest dates were September 20th for Merlot and October 4th for Cabernet Sauvignon, benefiting from ideal vintage conditions. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging for approximately 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels, with racking occurring every three months. The average yield was 48 hectoliters per hectare, and the production volume for the 2010 vintage represented a small portion of the estate's total output.
