WINE MAKING PROCESS
Château Phélan Ségur employs parcel-by-parcel vinification in stainless steel vats. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, which can occur in vats or barrels. The wine is then aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, with about half being new oak. Viticultural practices focus on controlled yields and vineyard health, with sustainable methods integrated into the farming approach. The harvest for the 2015 vintage took place in late September to early October.
