WINE MAKING PROCESS
Château Pontet-Canet employs a philosophy centered on natural winemaking, beginning with 100% biodynamic farming across its 81-hectare vineyard. Grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts in conical concrete tanks, followed by a gentle maceration. The wine then undergoes a 16-18 month aging process that uniquely combines new French oak barrels, used barrels, and custom concrete amphorae. This approach aims to capture the essence of the Pauillac terroir with minimal manipulation.
