WINE MAKING PROCESS
Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay Retro 2022 is produced using a dual fermentation approach: half of the wine is fermented in oak casks, and the other half in stainless steel tanks. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation. Following fermentation, half of the wine is aged for five months on its lees in oak barrels, with 5% of these barrels being new. The grapes are sourced from multiple vineyards within the Columbia Valley AVA.
