ABOUT THIS WINE
Château Tirecul La Gravière 2020 is a sweet white wine from the Monbazillac appellation in Southwest France. The estate, founded by Bruno and Claudie Bilancini in 1992, is committed to organic farming practices, with vineyards certified organic since 2012. A distinctive aspect of their winemaking is the significant use of Muscadelle, a grape variety they believe thrives exceptionally well in the Monbazillac terroir. The north and east-facing orientation of their vines also contributes to the wine's unique profile. The estate's winemaking philosophy is summarized as 'PATIENCE - EXIGENCE - RESPECT'.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Château Tirecul La Gravière 2020 involves careful attention to the development of noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) on the grapes. The grapes are gently pressed, and the resulting must is clarified by gravity sedimentation at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. The wine then undergoes an extended aging period of 30 months, or potentially longer, in French oak barrels, with a portion of new oak used. Batonnage may be employed during aging to enhance texture and complexity.
