WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for the Chianti Classico Riserva are hand-harvested from carefully selected vineyard plots. Following destemming and gentle crushing, the must undergoes a traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks with prolonged maceration on the skins, lasting approximately 20-25 days to extract color, tannins, and complex aromas. Malolactic fermentation is completed in stainless steel. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 24 months, with a significant portion maturing in large Slavonian oak casks (botti) and a smaller part in French oak barrels, allowing for gradual integration and softening of the tannins. After aging, the wine is bottled and undergoes further refinement in the bottle before release.
