ABOUT THIS WINE
The Christina Kuhlbar 2024 is a natural red wine from Christina Netzl, produced in the Carnuntum DAC region of Austria. Christina Netzl, who comes from a long line of winemakers, launched her 'Christina' natural wine series in 2015, focusing on minimal intervention and ancient techniques. The Kuhlbar, meaning 'cool bar,' is specifically designed to be served chilled, offering a refreshing experience. The wine is made from 100% Zweigelt grapes grown in estate vineyards characterized by red gravel and loess soils, benefiting from the Pannonian climate. This wine is part of Christina's broader philosophy of working in harmony with nature, with the family estate having been converted to certified organic viticulture.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Christina Kuhlbar 2024 is crafted using minimal intervention techniques. Zweigelt grapes are hand-harvested from Christina Netzl's organic estate vineyards in Carnuntum. Approximately 50% of the fruit is destemmed, and the grapes undergo 10 days of skin contact in stainless steel tanks, utilizing only free-run juice. Following fermentation, the wine matures for four months in stainless steel after malolactic fermentation. It is bottled unfiltered, with a focus on preserving the wine's natural character and vibrant fruit profile, embodying Christina's philosophy of gentle vinification and minimal cellar manipulation.
