ABOUT THIS WINE
Nyetimber Classic Cuvée is the signature offering from Nyetimber, a producer dedicated to crafting English sparkling wine of exceptional quality. Established in 1988, the estate exclusively cultivates the traditional Champagne grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. The vineyards are situated in the South Downs region of England, benefiting from chalky soils and a climate conducive to high-quality grape growing. The wine is a Multi-Vintage (MV) blend, designed to ensure a consistent and complex profile year after year, often incorporating a significant proportion of reserve wines. Nyetimber's ambition is to produce English sparkling wine that stands among the world's best, a goal reflected in the meticulous attention to detail throughout its winemaking process.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Nyetimber Classic Cuvée is produced using the traditional method, mirroring the techniques employed in Champagne. The grapes, exclusively Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, are estate-grown and handpicked. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. A significant aspect of its production is the extended aging process, with the wine resting on its lees for a minimum of 36 months. This is complemented by the use of reserve wines, typically comprising 20-35% of the blend, which contribute to the wine's consistency and complexity. The wine is then aged for an additional six months before release.
