ABOUT THIS WINE
Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvée 2018 is a Brut white sparkling wine from West Sussex, England. It is produced by Roebuck Estates, founded in 2013 by Mike Smith and John Ball, who aimed to create exceptional vintage sparkling wines from their estate vineyards. The wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, classic Champagne grape varieties. The region's chalky soils and climate are well-suited for these grapes. The 2018 vintage benefited from favorable weather conditions, leading to high-quality fruit.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvée 2018 begins with hand-harvesting and whole-bunch pressing of grapes sourced from vineyards across Sussex. Approximately 15% of the wine is fermented in old Burgundian oak barrels to enhance complexity. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes an extended period of lees aging, lasting at least 36 months, which contributes to its depth and bready characteristics. The dosage is typically around 7g/l.
