ABOUT THIS WINE
The Leonardo Bussoletti Colle Murello is a white wine from the Umbria IGT region of Italy, produced by Società Agricola Leonardo Bussoletti. The wine is crafted primarily from Trebbiano grapes, with the inclusion of Trebbiano Spoletino. Leonardo Bussoletti transitioned from a wine seller to a winemaker, driven by a passion for his chosen territory in Umbria and a commitment to organic viticulture. His approach focuses on expressing the character of local grape varietals. The vineyard is situated on calcareous clay soil at an elevation of 230 meters, with vines aged between 3 to 5 years. This wine is distinguished by its savory profile, balsamic and citrus notes, and a chalky, mineral finish, partly attributed to the use of Trebbiano Spoletino.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Leonardo Bussoletti Colle Murello is produced from manually harvested, organically grown grapes. The winemaking process involves spontaneous fermentation for 20 days in French oak barrels. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees for 6 months in large French oak barrels (15 hl). The wine then undergoes a further aging period of 6-8 months in the bottle before release.
