ABOUT THIS WINE
Louis Roederer Collection 243 is a non-vintage Brut Champagne from the esteemed Louis Roederer house, representing the 243rd blend created since its founding in 1776. This cuvée signifies a contemporary expression of Champagne excellence, moving towards a blend that captures the unique character of each year's harvest. The blend is inspired by Louis Roederer's historical vineyard holdings, with one-third each from 'La Rivière' (Vallée de la Marne), 'La Montagne' (Montagne de Reims), and 'La Côte' (Côte des Blancs), with vineyards primarily Grand and Premier Cru. The 2018 harvest, the base vintage, was warm and dry, contributing to the wine's profile. Louis Roederer is an independent, family-owned Champagne house founded in 1776, known for its commitment to terroir and sustainable viticulture.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Louis Roederer Collection 243 is composed of 59% of the 2018 harvest, 31% of a Perpetual Reserve established in 2012, and 10% of reserve wines aged in oak foudres. 26% of the wines undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged on its lees for approximately 3 years. The dosage is 8 g/L. The blend comprises 42% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and 18% Pinot Meunier, sourced primarily from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards across 'La Rivière', 'La Montagne', and 'La Côte'.
