ABOUT THIS WINE
Cúmaro Conero Riserva DOCG is a 100% Montepulciano red wine from the Conero sub-region of Marche, Italy, produced by Umani Ronchi. Established in the mid-1980s, Cúmaro was created to highlight the potential of Montepulciano from this specific terroir. It was one of the pioneering wines to receive the Conero Riserva DOCG classification in 2004. WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Cúmaro Conero Riserva begins with a manual harvest. The grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures (27-29°C) for 12-14 days, using natural yeasts. Malolactic fermentation is then completed. The wine is aged for 12-14 months in 225-liter French oak barriques, followed by an additional 6-8 months of bottle aging in a temperature-controlled environment.
