ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine du Bagnol is one of the historic estates of Cassis, a picturesque fishing village turned prestigious wine appellation nestled along the Mediterranean coast of Provence. The estate's history dates back to the 15th century, but its modern renaissance began under the Marquis de Fesques. This flagship cuvée pays homage to his legacy. Benefiting from the unique microclimate of Cassis—where limestone cliffs shield the vineyards from the harsh Mistral wind and the sea provides cooling breezes—this wine captures the pure, saline essence of the Mediterranean terroir.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for the Cuvée Marquis de Fesques are hand-harvested from the estate's finest limestone-rich parcels. After gentle pressing, the juice undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the vibrant primary fruit and mineral character. A portion of the blend is aged on its fine lees in oak foudres or demi-muids to add texture, complexity, and roundness, without overpowering the delicate coastal aromatics. Malolactic fermentation is typically blocked to maintain the wine's signature crisp acidity.
