ABOUT THIS WINE
The Deaetna Etna Bianco Doc is a white wine from the Etna DOC region in Sicily, produced by Terra Costantino. The estate, established in 1978, is family-owned and situated on the southeastern slopes of Mount Etna. The wine is crafted primarily from Carricante grapes (80%), complemented by Catarratto (15%) and Minnella (5%). Its identity is deeply tied to the volcanic terroir of Mount Etna, with vineyards located at altitudes between 450 and 550 meters above sea level, on soils of volcanic origin rich in minerals. The producer employs organic farming practices.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Deaetna Etna Bianco Doc is vinified using grapes harvested by hand in early October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, typically between 14-16°C, with indigenous yeasts sometimes employed. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in steel tanks, with a portion of this time spent on fine lees. This process aims to preserve the wine's freshness and mineral profile, reflecting the volcanic origin of the grapes. The producer follows organic farming practices in their vineyards.
