ABOUT THIS WINE

Terra Costantino is recognized as a pioneer in organic viticulture on Mount Etna, having practiced sustainable farming since the 1970s. The estate is managed by the Costantino family, who are dedicated to respecting the land and its traditions. The wine's distinctiveness stems from its volcanic terroir, native grape varieties, and organic farming methods.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for DeAetna Rosso begins with destemming the grapes, followed by a maceration period of approximately 10 days with occasional pump-overs. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, and the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation. Aging involves a combination of neutral oak barrels and stainless steel, with subsequent bottle aging. Harvest decisions are based on achieving a balance of sugar and acidity.
