ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine des Tourelles Vieilles Vignes Cinsault 2021 is a red wine from the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. It is made from 100% Cinsault grapes grown on old vines, some over 50 years of age, at altitudes between 1000-1050 meters. The vineyards are organically cultivated and dry-farmed. Domaine des Tourelles is one of Lebanon's oldest wineries, established in 1868, and the current management emphasizes minimal intervention winemaking. The wine is a revival of the Cinsault grape, which was once widely planted in the region but later fell out of favor.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Vieilles Vignes Cinsault is produced from hand-picked grapes from old vines. Fermentation occurs in concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts, with a maceration period of 10 days. Malolactic fermentation begins spontaneously. The wine undergoes aging for one year in concrete vats, followed by six months in used French oak barrels. The producer emphasizes minimal intervention throughout the winemaking process, with no fining or filtering and minimal sulfur usage.
