Domaine Saint-Etienne Côtes du Rhône Les Albizzias

Domaine Saint-Étienne was acquired in 2017 by Michel Chapoutier, a pioneer of biodynamic and organic viticulture in France. Drawn to the estate's beautifully maintained, fully organic vineyard plots in Montfrin, Chapoutier sought to capture the unique terroir where the Southern Rhône meets the Mediterranean. The estate's vineyards sit on deep red clay sub-soils covered with siliceous rolled pebbles (galets roulés), deposited millions of years ago. The name 'Les Albizzias' pays tribute to the beautiful Persian silk trees (Albizia julibrissin) that adorn the Mediterranean landscape of the estate, reflecting the vibrant and elegant nature of this Southern Rhône blend.
