ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Altanza was founded in 1998 in Fuenmayor, Rioja Alta, with the objective of creating modern, fruit-expressive Rioja wines. Unlike traditional producers in the region that rely on American oak, Altanza focuses on 100% French oak aging to emphasize clean fruit character and subtle spices. The name Edulis comes from the Latin word for delightful or savory, symbolizing the wine's approachability and gastronomic versatility.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The wine is produced from 100% Tempranillo grown in clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 600 meters. Fermentation takes place under temperature control in stainless steel tanks to preserve fresh primary fruit flavors. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by 2 months in 2,200-liter French Allier oak vats, followed by bottle maturation in the cellar prior to release.
