ABOUT THIS WINE
Entrecuestas is a 100% Godello white wine from Bodegas Estefanía, produced under the Tilenus brand within the D.O. Bierzo region of Spain. The wine originates from a specific, high-altitude plot named 'Entrecuestas,' characterized by steep slopes, poor soils, and a significant presence of quartzite and stones. The vines are at least 22 years old. Bodegas Estefanía was founded by the Frías family and draws inspiration from the region's Roman history, with the Tilenus brand named after a Celtic deity. The renowned Raúl Pérez is the technical director. This wine is a limited production, emphasizing its exclusivity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Entrecuestas begins with a 24-hour pre-fermentation maceration with skins and seeds, followed by gentle pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in wooden vats using native yeasts. The wine then undergoes an extended aging period of 11 to 12 months on its fine lees ('sur lie') in the same wooden vats. This meticulous process aims to capture the essence of the vineyard and develop the wine's characteristic complexity and texture. Production is limited, with numbered bottles.
