ABOUT THIS WINE
The Erath Pinot Noir 2022 is a red wine from Oregon, USA, produced by Erath Vineyards, one of the state's earliest Pinot Noir producers. Founded by Dick Erath, the winery is situated in the Dundee Hills, an area recognized for its distinctive Jory soils and marine climate, which are conducive to growing Pinot Noir. The 2022 vintage was shaped by an extended growing season. The wine is primarily composed of Pinot Noir, with a small inclusion of Syrah noted in some sources. The winery's winemaking tradition is carried forward by current Head Winemaker Leah Adint.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Erath Pinot Noir 2022 is produced using grapes sourced from various vineyard sites in Oregon. Fermentation occurs in small, temperature-controlled steel tanks, with a technique of hand punching down the cap twice daily employed to manage extraction. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new French oak used in the maturation process. This approach aims to create a wine with a delicate and fruit-forward profile.
