Guigal, a family-owned winery founded in 1946, is renowned for its dedication to the Rhône Valley's most prestigious appellations. The Hermitage terroir, characterized by its granite slopes, is crucial to the wine's identity. The 2020 vintage experienced drought conditions, leading to concentrated fruit.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The E. Guigal Ermitage Ex Voto Blanc 2020 is produced from Marsanne (90%) and Roussanne (10%) grapes grown on four vineyard parcels on the Hermitage hill. The grapes undergo fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, followed by a four-week period of alcoholic fermentation and skin maceration. The wine then undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation. It is subsequently aged for 30 months in 100% new oak casks crafted by Guigal.
