ABOUT THIS WINE
The Esprit Côtes du Rhône 2022 is a red wine from the Côtes du Rhône appellation, produced by Maison Brotte. It is a blend primarily featuring Grenache and Syrah. The wine originates from selected small wine producers in the Rhône Valley who have partnered with Maison Brotte for many years. Maison Brotte, established in 1931, is a family-owned producer committed to sustainable agriculture, with their family estates holding Terra Vitis certification. The wine aims to showcase the character of Grenache, a key grape of the Southern Rhône, complemented by Syrah for added freshness and structure. The 2022 vintage is described as having full red fruit and baking spice notes with a warm, dry mouthfeel.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Esprit Côtes du Rhône 2022 undergoes traditional vinification, with alcoholic fermentation occurring in lined concrete vats for 15 to 20 days at 28°-30°C, featuring daily pump-overs and lees stirring. Following alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is then aged for 8 to 12 months in a combination of hundred-year-old oak barrels and concrete vats. The grapes are sourced from partner growers who practice sustainable viticulture, including yield management techniques such as severe pruning, green harvesting, and leaf thinning.
