WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Montlaiz Expedition Malbec 2024 is produced using grapes sourced from Mendoza Primera, at an altitude of 970 meters. The vineyards are located in Maipú, Junín, and San Martín, with a soil composition of clay and sand. Grapes are hand-harvested in small bins during the first week of April. The winery employs organic farming practices. Vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 24°C and 27°C, with daily pumpovers for optimal extraction over a 10-day maceration period. Fermentation is carried out with carefully selected organic yeasts. Aging consists of 20% of the wine being matured for three months with French oak staves, while the remaining 80% is aged in stainless steel tanks.
