WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Finca Peña Lobera 2018 is produced using grapes from centenary vines. Fermentation takes place in used 500-liter oak barrels with spontaneous fermentation driven by indigenous yeasts, followed by a maceration and fermentation period of approximately 25 days. The wine is then aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further 4 months in 500-liter concrete tanks. Viticulture is managed with a focus on plot cultivation and sustainable practices, including dry farming and avoiding herbicides and pesticides.
