WINE MAKING PROCESS
Fitapreta Tinto 2022 is produced using indigenous Portuguese grape varieties. The grapes are harvested manually at night and processed without pumps, with selection occurring on a sorting table. Fermentation for both alcoholic and malolactic stages is spontaneous. Maceration, or cuvaison, lasts for 20 days. The wine is then aged for 12 months, with 50% in French oak and 50% in stainless steel vats. The winery emphasizes sustainable practices, including organic or Integrated Certified Production, and aims to express the unique terroir of Alentejo.
