WINE MAKING PROCESS
Freixenet Cordon Rosado is produced using the traditional method, also known as the méthode traditionnelle. The grapes, Trepat and Garnacha, are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. A second fermentation takes place in the bottle, which is crucial for developing the wine's effervescence and complex character. The wine then undergoes aging for 12 to 18 months on its lees before being released. The Garnacha grapes are typically harvested later to maximize sugar content, while the Trepat grapes are picked earlier to preserve acidity.
