ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodega Gañeta is located in the picturesque coastal town of Getaria, within the Basque Country of northern Spain. Under the Getariako Txakolina DO, the estate crafts traditional wines heavily influenced by the Cantabrian Sea. The vineyards are planted on steep, pergola-trained slopes that maximize sun exposure and wind circulation, which is crucial in this damp, maritime climate. Gañeta is celebrated for preserving the heritage of Basque winemaking, producing vibrant, high-acid wines with a signature saline minerality.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
For this Rosado, the Hondarrabi Beltza grapes are carefully harvested and destemmed directly into the press without any prior skin contact to maintain a delicate pale pink hue and fresh profile. Fermentation occurs spontaneously using native, wild yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. This preserves the bright primary fruit aromas and the natural, slight effervescence (spritz) characteristic of the region's wines. The wine is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel before bottling.
