WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Gemin Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry is produced using the Martinotti or Charmat method, where the secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized steel tanks. Grapes are gently pressed, and the must is fermented at controlled temperatures without skins. This process is followed by a secondary fermentation in closed steel vats lasting around 30 days. For wines designated as 'Rive,' such as this Cartizze, the harvest is conducted entirely by hand to ensure optimal grape selection from the challenging vineyard sites.
