ABOUT THIS WINE
Beaulieu Vineyard's Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a significant wine from Napa Valley's Rutherford AVA. Established in 1900 by Georges de Latour, the winery released this flagship wine in 1940, honoring its founder and creating one of Napa's earliest 'cult' Cabernets. The grapes are cultivated on BV's historic Ranches No. 1 and No. 2, which were originally planted by Georges de Latour himself. This wine is recognized as a benchmark for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, embodying the classic style associated with the Rutherford appellation.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is produced using grapes from Beaulieu Vineyard's historic Ranches No. 1 and No. 2 in Rutherford. The vineyard's clonal selections are chosen for their ability to produce small berries with a high skin-to-juice ratio, contributing to intense wines. Following harvest, the wine is aged for 22 months, with 95% of the aging occurring in new French oak barrels. This process is guided by Beaulieu Vineyard's philosophy of blending modern technology with traditional winemaking techniques.
