ABOUT THIS WINE
The Glenelly Glass Collection Cabernet Franc 2019 is a single-varietal wine from Stellenbosch, South Africa. The 'Glass Collection' range is named in honor of owner May de Lenquesen's personal collection of glass art. Glenelly Estate, established in 1682, was acquired by May de Lenquesen in 2003 with the ambition of creating a world-class wine estate. The Stellenbosch region is a prominent area for South African viticulture, known for producing distinctive red wines. The 2019 vintage was marked by variable weather conditions, including a wet start to the growing season and a broken harvest period due to late rains.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Glenelly Glass Collection Cabernet Franc 2019 is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes. The grapes were hand-harvested and lightly crushed. Fermentation occurred naturally with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by 2-3 weeks of skin maceration. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The wine is sealed with a screw cap.
