ABOUT THIS WINE
The Glup Rosado Longavi 2023 is a rosé wine from the Maule region of Chile. It is a collaboration between Chilean winemaker Julio Bouchon and South African winemaker David Nieuwoudt. The wine is crafted from a blend of 85% País, 10% Garnacha, and 5% Monastrell grapes. The País vines are centenarian bush vines, some over 200 years old, grown on decomposed granitic soils. The 'Glup' line signifies Longavi's commitment to natural, unfiltered, and unfined winemaking. The name 'Longavi' is derived from the Nevado de Longavi stratovolcano, and the label's Ouroboros symbol represents natural cycles.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Glup Rosado Longavi 2023 is produced using non-intervention winemaking techniques. The grapes are fermented in concrete tanks, with a focus on natural processes. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging in amphora. The wine is intentionally left unfiltered and unfined to preserve its natural character. This approach emphasizes the purity of the fruit and the expression of the old-vine País grapes.
