ABOUT THIS WINE
Founded in 1820 by Scottish brothers William and John Graham, this historic Port house began as a textile firm before accepting 27 barrels of Port as payment for a debt. This unexpected transaction revealed the immense potential of the Douro Valley wine trade. In 1970, the estate was acquired by the Symington family, who continue to champion its legacy today. The fruit for this 20-year-old blend is sourced from five of the Douro's finest mountain vineyards, including the legendary Quinta dos Malvedos, where steep schist terraces yield grapes of extraordinary concentration and structure.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in traditional automated lagares to optimize extraction. Fermentation is halted midway by fortification with neutral grape spirit (77% ABV) to preserve natural residual sugars. The wine is then transferred to the historic Graham's 1890 Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia, where it undergoes slow, oxidative aging for an average of 20 years in seasoned 534-liter oak pipes. This maritime climate ensures moderate temperatures and high humidity, allowing the wine to develop its signature complexity under the care of master coopers.
