ABOUT THIS WINE
The Oppeddentro Grana d'Elia 2018 is an IGT Marche Rosso from the Marche region of Italy, a blend primarily of Sangiovese and Montepulciano. The producer, Oppeddentro, was established in 2017 by four friends who share a dedication to natural and artisanal winemaking. Their winery is situated in a historic 15th-century building in Maiolati Spontini. The wine's name, 'Oppeddentro,' is derived from a local saying associated with entering the historic center of their town. Oppeddentro is a member of VinNatur, an association that advocates for monitored organic agriculture and low-intervention winemaking.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Oppeddentro Grana d'Elia 2018 is produced using minimal intervention techniques. Grapes are hand-harvested in September. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by a maceration period of approximately 10 days. The wine then ages for 12 months, also in stainless steel. Oppeddentro is committed to natural winemaking practices, including minimizing sulfite usage, and is a member of the VinNatur association.
