ABOUT THIS WINE
Grand Veneur Côtes du Rhône is a red wine from Alain Jaume / Domaine Grand Veneur, produced in the Southern Rhône region of France. The Jaume family has a deep history in winemaking, dating back to 1826, and established Domaine Grand Veneur in 1979. Their vineyards have been certified organic since 2012. The 2023 vintage was characterized by warm, dry conditions, resulting in ripe fruit and approachable tannins for the red wines. This particular bottling is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre, reflecting the traditional varietals of the Côtes du Rhône appellation.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Grand Veneur Côtes du Rhône is produced using traditional winemaking techniques. The grapes are fermented in vats, a process chosen to maintain the freshness and fruit-forward character of the blend. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes an aging period of 10 to 12 months, also exclusively in vats. This oak-free aging allows the wine to develop its natural fruit flavors and smooth tannins without the influence of wood. The wine is then bottled, ready for release. The producer, Alain Jaume / Domaine Grand Veneur, adheres to certified organic farming practices in their vineyards.
